The University of Miami transforms lives through education, research, innovation, and service. In support of our education pillar, scholarships make it possible for many students to attend the U and access opportunities they might not otherwise have. Now, more than ever, scholarship support is fundamental to help the U attract and retain gifted and deserving students.

Paying it Forward for Local ’Canes

Thank you for considering a donation to support a University of Miami student from your area via a 'Canes Community scholarship. Your contribution will make a positive impact on a young person’s life and help them continue their journey as a ’Cane.

The scholarship is awarded annually each fall to a deserving first-year UM student with financial need from the community where the funds were raised. Funds may be used for fall and/or spring semesters, depending on student needs.
